Over my 20+ year professional career, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact toxic work environments can have on individuals and families. Poor workplace culture often leads to mental health struggles, leaving lasting scars and highlighting the need for change.
As the daughter and sister of ex-servicemen, my commitment to mental health is deeply personal. This background has instilled in me the values of resilience, empathy and the critical importance of mental health. These experiences inspire my down to earth approach in my training.
Before dedicating myself to mental health, I spent over two decades in the TV industry, working with some of Australia’s biggest networks and production companies. These high-pressure environments taught me the importance of fostering healthy and supportive workplace cultures.
Through experiences like walking the Kokoda Track and living in Thailand for 3 months training in Muay Thai, I’ve faced challenges that pushed me to my limits. These experiences taught me the power of perseverance and mental toughness. Resilience isn’t about avoiding struggle, it’s about learning to recognise, adapt and continuing to grow from it.
I am a licensed Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor gaining my credentials though Mental Health First Aid Australia.
